After a year of intense preparation led by the members of COMSE, the municipal teams, and nearly a hundred volunteers mobilized throughout the week, the 37th edition of the Thiais Internationals came to a brilliant close this Sunday, April 5, 2026.
Over the Easter weekend, 21 nations competed at the Palais Omnisports with a single goal: to win the Thiais Grand Prix. And the spectacle truly lived up to expectations.
A highlight moment: La Marseillaise echoed throughout the venue following the outstanding victory of the French group, crowned champions in 5 balls final, just one day after winning a silver medal in the all-around competition.
This edition was also marked by emotion. Lily Ramonatxo, a member of the French national team, chose Thiais to announce the end of her elite career—a powerful and symbolic decision. As I expressed to her during the closing gala, the doors of the Palais Omnisports de Thiais will always remain open to her. Featured on this year’s official poster, she already embodied this tribute, even before we fully realized it.
Set to music by Christophe Maé, Lily passed a rose to 15 young gymnasts—a powerful gesture symbolizing the passing of the torch after 15 years dedicated to rhythmic gymnastics, including 10 at the highest level.
Another standout performance: Ukraine leaves with the City of Thiais Trophy, awarded to the most successful delegation in the Grand Prix, both in individual and group events.
This success is a collective one. Thank you to everyone who, directly or indirectly, contributed to making this event a success.
And already, the future is taking shape. Following an initial review, the organizing committee will soon be back at work to prepare the 38th edition, which is expected to take place on March 27 and 28, 2027, over the Easter weekend.
See you soon, and take care.
